You know those moments when you are sitting in the dentist chair, looking at the ugly ceiling, counting the cracks or trying to make a story out of any little spot you see. Don’t you sometimes wish that there would be something interesting hanging above your head so that at least you could try to focus on something else than the sound of a drill in your mouth? Dentists all over the world, please take note and be inspired by those ceilings. Now, if you want to add something extra, I don’t know…old love letters or a text from a classic book. You know, just something to keep our mind off of things, we wouldn’t say no to that either.
What do you do when you walk around Brussels and the Belgian sky is grey, yet again? You go into the newest vintage shop For Me K and get your color fix! This colorful boutique recently opened its doors to a world of original pieces from the 60′s up to the 80′s that will bring you back to memory lane in a heart beat!
Such a cool place, reminding me of sitting at my granny’s little formica kitchen table when I was a kid. I remember how I’d come home after school and I’d just be talking and talking and talking about my daily adventures in school while she’d prepare the most delicious dishes and I had a hot chocolate from those little orange flowery cups. Do you remember those?
Of course I cannot talk about ForMeK, without mentioning the adorable Miss Lulu, the mascot of this dreamy shop. Love you Lulu! You are absolutely adorable and fit perfectly in the shop.
If you thought of throwing out your rusty bike…think again! Seriously! Look at this beauty created by the very stylish Pascal Van Wambeke, Owner & Creative Director at Wambach. I don’t know how long it took him to get it that immaculately perfect and beautiful but this is one unique piece of art on wheels right here! Industrially refined up to the tiniest little details. Obviously created with lots of love…and patience! I love how there is such an interesting mixture of rough and elegant! Check out the gold plated chain against the rust bars. Kind of like a guy with a scruff and a perfectly tailored suit. You know how that look just works so well…
