It may have something to do with the sweet smell of pumpkin announcing that fall is here, or perhaps it’s the magical shade of terracotta that the autumnal leaves have turned, but I’ve been feeling inspired by the color orange recently. As much as I’d like to place perfectly carved out pumpkins on every surface of every room at this time of year, I’m completely useless at pumpkin carving. Instead I channeled this rediscovered love for orange by putting it together with one of my favorite shades of blue, teal.
Now, let’s be clear. This living room is not just for one season, as the warm chocolate tones of the record storage cabinet and the natural TWO rug will hold warmth for winter (plus hide any spilt hot chocolate) and while the bright white Season Hurricanes and Flow Side Table will keep the room bright in the summertime, you can rely on the Basket Saucer lightshade to encourage the spring nights lengthen into the summer nights we all love. Vintage inspired to the core but with a modern touch – a 2modern touch – this is a pumpkin free room for all seasons.
