How is this for a happy kid’s room? And how cute are those pillows imprinted with encouraging quotes? No doubt he or she will be inspired every day! I always had a fondness for antique looking animal figurines like this elephant or owl. I don’t know why but there is something so sweet and cozy about it. So much nicer than all of those plastic toys if you ask me.
Actually come to think about, that is one big, fat lie as I only started having a fondness for those old looking toys as an adult but as a kid I really disliked them. All I wanted were Barbie dolls like the hip girls in my class. Yet the best I got were Cindy’s! Yeah! The replicas indeed!
I don’t know why but Barbie dolls were not popular gifts at all at home. Even though I am pretty sure, they were on my list for Santa Claus every year. I did get lots of Lego’s and books though, which was great because I loved to build and create homes from a very young age and I think it definitely influenced me a lot in my work today.
Such wonderful childhood memories with my beloved granny! I look at the little table like this brown one and think back about coming home and my granny helping me with my home work while sipping a cup of hot chocolate. The love, the safety, the knowing that someone is there looking out for you and you shouldn’t worry….sweet
